We escaped much of the rain that fell in the Midwest region. We received a total of just under 1" from last Thursday through Sunday. Good news for the Piper participants!
The weather however, has been challenging for turf. High humidity and high dew points at night have resulted in incredible disease pressure. We are spraying fungicides on a shorter interval than normal until the weather turns cooler and drier.
This is not the time to stress greens, so greens speeds may be a bit slower until we get a weather break.
