Winter Preparations III - Fertilizing
Turfgrass under high demand needs food (nitrogen) late in the year. It's important for turf heading into the dormant season to be strong enough to withstand the difficulties of cold weather, ice and snow. By applying a quick release fertilizer in November, the grass plant can utilize part of the nutrients now, saving the balance for early next spring.
