The dead and dying Austrian pines between #6 green and #5 fairway are being removed today and tomorrow. This area will be seeded to fescue (like #3 and #14) next week. It will take 3-5 years for this area to fully mature.

The dead and dying Austrian pines between #6 green and #5 fairway are being removed today and tomorrow. This area will be seeded to fescue (like #3 and #14) next week. It will take 3-5 years for this area to fully mature.

This will be a big improvement. The area already looks better. Now, how about all those pines behind 16 on the right side of the 12th tee?
ReplyDeleteEliminating these pine groupings not only opens up some wonderful vistas across the property, but allows the wind more into play.
That is in the planning stage right now. Rees Jones is providing the club a "photoshop" rendering of how it will look.
