Winter Covers

We finished installing the covers yesterday, the last piece of the "winter preparation puzzle".

Covers provide some insurance against winter damage by moderating the temperature underneath. They do not prevent winter damage, but appear to lessen the risk.

I'll be posting more information throughout the winter on our program of "winter survival". Monitoring the turf and the snow cover is a daily occurrence in the winter. Growing healthy turf is much more difficult in the winter than the summer!
