North Course Cart Access

Saturday, November 26th  - Final day for carts on the North Course.

Due to weather and the damage from cart traffic, tomorrow will be the last day for carts on the North Course. Turf cannot recover from traffic damage at this time of year as it enters dormancy. We are concerned that any damage now will be present next spring so in the interest of protecting our North Course, golf will be walking only.

Thanks for your understanding. Have a great holiday season!

  1. When does the course move to temporary greens? Does the North go through the same winter preparation procedures as the South eventually?

  2. We'll put out temp greens once the ground freezes. Traffic on frozen greens is not usually a problem. It's when the ground is near freezing - hard on top and soft below- that the damage occurs. So in order to avoid that scenario we go temp greens. Maybe another week or two.

We start top dressing greens this week. The North undergoes the same winter prep as the South, only a little later due to play. Great day yesterday and it was good to see so many members out enjoying the day!
