Fescue Area Prep

Part of the preparation for the installation of the "fescue area" is the removal of any dead or dying trees. This Willow tree had a large amount of deadwood and the prudent expenditure of money dictates that it be removed instead of constant annual pruning. It would be difficult to access this area once it is seeded so it made sense ($$) to take it down now.

For the turf to absorb the herbicide (glyphosate), the plants must be actively growing. It is absorbed through the foilage and translocated to the growing points. That is why we have been irrigating the area this past week.

Up next: herbicide application on Tuesday, August 17th.
