Pond Weeds

The shallowness of the pond on #16 South, is the reason we have a recurring weed problem. Sunlight reaches the bottom of the pond providing the submergent plants food for growth.

The most effective weed treatment is when we drain the pond and apply an aquatic herbicide. Since we also irrigate from #16 pond, we flush out the treated water for 2 days after treatment to get rid of any excess chemical. That is why the pond has been down the last 2 days.
